Book description:
The ancient town of Malham is located northwest of Riyadh in central Saudi Arabia, and dates back to pre-Islamic times, as evidenced by the presence of ancient graves whose tombstones face the holy site, rock drawings, and inscriptions.
Its location is one of the important stations that pilgrims used to take to the holy places in ancient times. It was the first village of Al-Yamamah to enter Islam, and the only one in the Najd region in terms of the presence of decoration inside the “Al-Ubaybis” mosque.
The study dealt with the field of antiquities, heritage and tourism, and its methodology was descriptive, analytical and classificatory. It included a theoretical and field survey of the town based on describing the patterns of heritage in the town, describing a plan and proposed vision for the rehabilitation of the town for tourism in each neighborhood and what is appropriate for it in terms of types of tourism, then envisioning a plan for its management from the theoretical and practical aspects, and a plan for its investment and preservation.
